DISTRICT MUSIC FESTIVAL PARTICIPANTS:
The first festival is this Friday – 2/6 for students selected to the Symphonic Band.  Students will be leaving at 8:15 a.m. and rehearsing all day – with a performance at 7 p.m. at CSJ.  Congratulations to Erik Brown, Belle Kidder, and Vinkel Rasmussen.
The second festival is Friday- 3/6 for students selected to the Chorus / Jazz.  Congratulations to Chorus participants Michaela Eckler, Eric Ray, Mollie Coltey, and Glenn Hurlburt-Wilcox.  Accepted for the Jazz section is Matt Eckler.

EIGHTH GRADE PARENT / GUARDIAN NIGHT:

POETRY OUT LOUD / COMPETITION:
The NINTH ANNUAL FHUHS Poetry Out Loud competition took take place in the Fran LaPlaca Center for the Performing Arts on THURSDAY – February 5.  CONGRATULATIONS TO:

PROJECT GRADUATION NEWS:
The next Project Graduation meeting will be held on MONDAY – 2/16 @ 7 p.m..

SCHOLARS BOWL - ST VALENTINE’S RAFFLE:
The Scholars Bowl team will be conducting a St. Valentine’s Day Raffle to support our efforts to go to Atlanta, GA for a Scholars Bowl Tournament!  We are currently seeking donations for the raffleDonations will be collected up to February 12, and may be left in the FHUHS Office.  This fundraiser is being conducted to raise funds to attend the NAQT National Small School tournament being held in Atlanta, Georgia the weekend of April 24, 2015. TY for your support
Tickets: 1 for $2 / 3 for $5 / 10 for $10 / 25 for $20
The raffle itself will be held on FEBRUARY 12.

SLATE VALLEY COMMUNITY CHORUS INVITE:
The newly forming Community Chorus will feature singers from high school age – and up!  There is no need to audition – only a desire to sing and perform!  Rehearsal locations will be determined at the first rehearsal.

VSAC SPEAKER:
VSAC will have a speaker coming on Tuesday – February 10 (6th Period) – to speak to Juniors about careers, college, and financial concerns.  Location to be determined – but if a Junior does not have a study hall PD 6 – they can come to the Guidance Office for a pass.

CHEER HAWAII BASKET RAFFLE:
Saturday – February 28 – a basket raffle is being planned to help Mollie Coltey & Sophia Rampone attend the prestigious CheerHawaii USA Invitational!  This is held at the University of Hawaii campus, in Honolulu, HI from 6/24 – 7/2/2015
If you would be willing to donate a basket to help the girls with this fundraiser – they would be so grateful. 
Baskets can be given to Tina Rampone, Tammy Coltey, or Kim Ransom.  THANK YOU!

SCHOLARS BOWL DANCE:
Scholars Bowl is sponsoring a dance!  $10 single / $15 couple.   It has been moved to FRIDAY – MARCH 7!  We need your help!  We would be very grateful if you would be willing to donate a few hours of your time to help us out.  Chaperone – we need 3 for this event, and 1 Administrator.   Please let Coach Allen know if you are able to do this.  His e-mail address is: oallen@arsu.org  THANK YOU
