2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

CROP WALK: 
On Sunday – 9/28 – you have the opportunity to step up to help your community, as well as others in the world!  The CROP HUNGER WALK takes place with registration at 1:30 p.m. – walk starts at 2 p.m..  JOIN A GROUP – or put a group together- to help raise money to fight hunger.  Each sports team will have participants as well.

SLATERS, it’s time to GIVE BACK to the COMMUNITY that gives us so much.
FYI:  Lindsey Marcy will be collecting for the annual CROP WALK (before school) today – 9/26 at the Maintenance Entrance to the building.  TY for your support!  Learn more here:

COLLEGE FAIR:  There will be a College Fair on Thursday – 10/2 at SUNY Adirondack in Queensbury, NY from 6 – 8 p.m..  There will be over 100 college representatives available to speak with!  Please come down to Guidance for the list of colleges attending, or directions – or can be found at https://sites.google.com/a/arsu.org/guidance/other-pages/college-visits 

COLLEGE VISITS:  JUNIORS / SENIORS – please sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested in attending.  TY

PSAT:  All JUNIORS will be taking the PSAT on WEDNESDAY – October 15 – at no cost.
Sophomores that are interested in taking the PSAT – there is a $14 charge.  Please see Mrs. Anderson w/check made out to FHUHS, or cash.  LIMITED spaces – don’t delay!

PROJECT GRADUATION NEWS:
SENIOR PARENTS / GUARDIANS – There will be a Project Graduation meeting on TUESDAY – 9/30 at 7 p.m. in Ms. Fallone’s room.  We are seeking assistance and input for covering the costs of Project Graduation.  Please feel free to bring your Senior along too!  Hope to see everyone there! 

SCHOLARS BOWL:
Scholars Bowl will meet Monday – Friday this week in Mrs. Cornell’s Room after school.  We will be practicing for the Sue Pasco Tournament.  See you then!  Coach Allen

TURKEY TROT – November 22:
The TURKEY TROT will be held on Saturday- 11/22!  Registration will start at 9 a.m..  Students can pre-register and pay only $10 up until the day of the race.  On the day of the race the student rate will go up to $15.  There will be a cash prize awarded to the class that has the most students sign up and walk / run.  REGISTRATION forms can be found outside of Ms. Shaw’s room (212), or from the Office.  Drop completed forms off in Room 212 – or in the Office (with cash / check made out to: The Class of 2016).  TY

YOUTH FILM COMPETITION:
ATTENTION - a Youth Film competition is currently underway!  
The competition is open to those between 14 and 25 years of age who live in Vermont.  
Sponsored by Freedom and Unity TV, participants are encouraged to share your Vermont story, win awards and get exposure for your film!  
The deadline for submitting your film is April 10, 2015.

FACULTY / STAFF:
SUNSHINE FUND NEWS:  We are asking for $5 from everyone who is interested – in order to send cards to those who need some sunshine.  J  Per usual, the cost of the end-of-the-year luncheon will be $15.  If you would like to take care of both your dues AND the luncheon fee, you can pay $20.  If you would like to pay your dues now, and pay for the luncheon at a later date, that works too!  Please pay with cash, or make checks payable to Ashleigh Sanborn.
