SENIOR MEETINGS  will be held  for the next 2 Wednesdays – 8:24 – 8:41 a.m.  in the BAND ROOM

 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY – WEAR PURPLE DAY:
The American Cancer Society is sponsoring a WEAR PURPLE DAY on Wednesday – 5/28 – to support the fight against ALL types of cancer!  If you would like to help support this cause, please wear purple on that day
You can also help this fight by giving a $5 donation.  Mrs. Howard is our school contact person for this event – and she will be happy to accept any donation you feel comfortable with giving

DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.   
SCHOLARS BOWL:   Meet in Mrs. Cornell’s Room after school.

HORTICULTURE NEWS:
1)    BIRTHDAY or CONGRATULATION mug bouquets are available from Horticulture students for $5!
2)    GARDEN PLOTS: There are 4 garden plots in the Horticulture garden available for families of students to grow their own vegetables this summer.  See Mrs. Birchmore for more information.
3)    COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY:  Looking for students willing & available to help weed and tend the Community Garden this summer.  See Mrs. Birchmore for more information.

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA TRIP:
Due to some scheduling conflicts, a group of tickets have become available to see Phantom of the Opera at Proctors Theater in Schenectady, NY on Thursday – May 29The show is a 1:30 p.m. matinee – with a question / answer session with show actors and technicians following the performance.  TICKETS are $50 for adults (who must provide own transportation) or $60 for our students joining us on the bus – which includes a supper stop. 
Please contact Mr. Smith (tsmith@arsu.org) with questions or payment.  Tickets are available to FHUHS community while transportation is available only to our students.    

PROJECT GRADUATION NEWS:
ALL forms and guest payment MUST be returned by Wednesday - 5/28.
Students WHO DO NOT return forms will NOT BE ON THE LIST of students attending Project Graduation.

ALSO: ***Anyone that still has Frequency Lists for NAQT – needs to return them to Coach Allen ASAP!  If you have a Knowledge Book – they need to be returned also.  Thank You

YEARBOOK NEWS:  Only 8 left!!!
ALL STUDENTS – please make sure you pay off your Yearbook balance by FRIDAY – MAY 30, so you may receive your book on Y-DAY – Tuesday, June 3.  If you need to know the balance, please see Mrs. Ransom.

Y-Day Yearbook Inserts:  There is only 1 autograph page in the 2014 Yearbook!  
Yearbook Autograph Inserts will be available until sold out.

FACULTY / STAFF:

FYI – END OF THE YEAR LUNCHEON:  Will be held on Friday – 6/20 at the TraK Inn at NOON!  The cost of the luncheon will be $15.  Payment can be made at any time to Ashleigh Sanborn or Tricia Doran.  Cash and checks are acceptable (make checks out to Ashleigh Sanborn or Tricia Doran).  It is very important that you RSVP by Friday – 6/13 so that we can get a head count.   A reminder will be sent in a couple of weeks.  Hope you can all make it!
