 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

ART DEPARTMENT NEWS:
ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT –will be open until FRIDAY 5/2 at the Chaffee Art Center – 16 S. Main Street – Rutland.  The gallery is open THURSDAY & FRIDAY, Noon – 6 p.m. and SATURDAYS, Noon – 5 p.m..

ASSEMBLY NEWS:
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Mr. Halligan for his all school presentation Tuesday morning.
He introduced us to his son, Ryan – who lost his life because of bullying.  Check out his web page: “Ryan’s Story” at http://www.ryanpatrickhalligan.org/.  PLEASE take the time to learn about this wonderful young man.

BAND NEWS:
FYI – Please note that the POPS CONCERT will be held on Wednesday – April 30 at 7 p.m..  Mark Your Calendar! 

CENTER FOR CARTOON STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP:
The Center For Cartoon Studies in White River Junction is offering a $900 Scholarship for their one week workshop “Create Comics” this July 7 – 11.  Details available in the Library. 

CHORUS:
WEDNESDAY Chorus Classes Meet TODAY!  Attention: An additional rehearsal is held WEDNESDAY mornings in the Chorus Room from 8 – 8:20 a.m.. 

CLUB NEWS: 
ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school.    
COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Meet WED & FRIDAY mornings at 8 a.m. – in Ms. Gallagher or Mrs. Nicholson room. 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.   
SCHOLARS BOWL:   Meet after school in Mrs. Cornell’s room.

CAREER FAIR “SPOTLIGHT ON BUSINESS”:  Saturday – April 12 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Poultney High School.  Displays and demonstrations from local businesses, artists, and craftspeople will be present!  Door prizes and raffles will be offered and the Admission is “FREE””! 

FAFSA (https://fafsa.ed.gov/) - Don’t forget to complete your FAFSA for financial aid.

JUNIOR PROM TICKET SALES:
We will be selling JUNIOR PROM (April 26, 2014) tickets!  See Mrs. Ransom for before school, and Juniors will be selling in the Cafeteria A-C lunches.  Ticket cost is $15 for one / two for $25.

PROJECT GRADUATION SLIDE SHOW NEEDS:
SENIOR CANDIDS for the Project Graduation Slide show are due in by this Friday – April 11
We are looking for each Senior to hand in 3 candid photos of themselves with friends or alone, doing their sport or activities, or just hanging out.  ALL PHOTOS need to be labeled identifying people in them.  They can be given to Olivia Cacciatore or Tom Kearns.  They can be emailed to: 2014fhuhsprojectgrad@gmail.com.  THANKS!  

SPORTS CORNER: 
 Anyone playing a spring sport must have an up-to-date physical on file with the school nurse, as well as the appropriate concussion education release form on file with the athletic department.  A signed permission form for each season must also be on file with the coach.  Download the permissions form and board policy here.
