This is the LAST CHANCE to check out the student Art Show at the Chaffee Art Center (16 S. Main Street-Rutland). The gallery is open THURSDAY & FRIDAY this week from 12 – 6 p.m..  It is a fun show including K-12 student work from area schools and 13 FHUHS students

CENTER FOR CARTOON STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP:
The Center For Cartoon Studies in White River Junction is offering a $900 Scholarship for their one week workshop “Create Comics” this July 7 – 11DEADLINE: (must be received by) May 2, 2014  Details available in the Library.

LAKE BOMOSEEN ASSOCIATION – SUMMER POSITION:
The Lake Bomoseen Association – in coordination with the Town of Hubbardton – is seeking application for staffing of the Greeters grant.  Greeters will staff the 2 public boat elaunches on Lake Bomoseen weekends & holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day.  Voluntarily inspecting boats & trailers for invasive species.
POSITION PAYS $10/hour and is divided into 2 shifts: 8 – 11 and 3 – 7.  Greeters may request shifts.
Greeters MUST attend the training program SATURDAY – 5/17 @ Hubbardton Town Hall
Application will be received by email at bjensen238@aol.com.  Application should include: name, complete address, phone number (where they can be reached), email address, and birthdate / age.

ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT – will be open until FRIDAY 5/2 at the Chaffee Art Center – 16 S. Main Street – Rutland.  The gallery is open THURSDAY & FRIDAY, Noon – 6 p.m. and SATURDAYS, Noon – 5 p.m..

CENTER FOR CARTOON STUDIES SCHOLARSHIP:
The Center For Cartoon Studies in White River Junction is offering a $900 Scholarship for their one week workshop “Create Comics” this July 7 – 11DEADLINE: (must be received by) May 2, 2014  Details available in the Library.

PENNY WARS: APRIL 21 – APRIL 25:  
There will be a battle of the classes (Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors) penny war going on in the Cafeteria during 5th Period!  The winning class will earn 5% of the proceeds.  The rest of the money will go towards helping a fellow community member in need. 
Penny War Point Breakdown: PENNIES = 2 points / NICKELS = -5 points / DIMES = -10 points / QUARTERS = -25 points / DOLLARS = -100 points
