 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

AFTER SCHOOL DRIVER EDUCATION:
APRIL After School Driver Education applications are available in Guidance.  DEADLINE for application is Tuesday – 3/25.

The LIBRARY will be CLOSED FRIDAY afternoon (3/21) this week.
We will be open Monday for our usual hours – 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. 

CHEERLEADING BANQUET:
The Cheerleading Banquet will be held on THURSDAY – March 20 @ 6:30 p.m. – in the Cafeteria.  Girls, please bring dessert to share.  Any questions – see Mrs. Ransom. 

CHORUS:
NEW ENGLAND MUSIC FESTIVAL:  FHUHS will be represented at the NE Music Festival in Bennington, VT by 2 students: Matt Eckler-Band and Merek Corporon-Chorus.  They will participate in rehearsals / concert all day Thursday 3/20 & Friday 3/21.  Congratulations! 

CLUB NEWS: 
ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school.    
COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Meet WED & FRIDAY mornings at 8 a.m. – in Ms. Gallagher or Mrs. Nicholson room. 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.   
SCHOLARS BOWL:   Meet after school in Mrs. Cornell’s room.

ATTENTION JUNIOR BOYS:  The deadline for Boy’s State Applications to Guidance is MONDAY – March 24

SCHOLARSHIPS: Local scholarships are beginning to arrive!  A list can be found on the Guidance page at:
https://sites.google.com/a/arsu.org/guidance/other-pages/scholarships, or paper copies and the applications are in Guidance.  This is updated frequently.  Most deadlines are APRIL 1 – however, double check each application. 

“THREE FOR ALL” Bus Tour:  UVM-St. Michael’s-Champlain College will be offered (free) Wednesday – 5/28 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (transportation to Burlington is not provided).  This tour is looking for High School 9th& 10th graders interested in the above mentioned institutions.  Anyone interested can come to the Guidance Office for more information. 

2014 HILLTOP AWARDS:  Applications are available for the 2014 Hilltop Awards, sponsored by Sue and Bill Ryan.  Any SENIOR wishing to apply for this year’s scholarships can get an application from Mrs. LaPlaca, Mr. Blackbird, Mr. Ramey, or may download from this link:  http://goo.gl/WdRjsB 
DEADLINE for applications is TUESDAY – April 1, 2014 (no joke!).  Good Luck.

JUNIOR PROM TICKET SALES:
We will be selling JUNIOR PROM (April 26, 2014) tickets beginning Monday – 3/17.  See Mrs. Ransom for before school, and Juniors will be selling in the Cafeteria A-C lunches.  Ticket cost is $15 for one / two for $25.

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY:
There will be a meeting WEDNESDAY at 3:05 p.m.  in Mr. Bruce’s Room.  For all members and new inductees.

WELLNESS COMMITTEE – meeting will be Friday – 3/21 from 1-3 p.m. in the Conference Room.

SOFTBALL NEWS:
There is a Softball Sign Up Board outside Mr. Ramey's office.  Anyone thinking they may be interested in playing softball this spring is encouraged to sign up.  Official practices will begin on Monday March 24th.
There will also be softball open gym times for girls wanting to start conditioning for the season.  

SPORTS CORNER: 
SPRING SPORTS SEASON JUST AROUND THE CORNER
        The spring sports season is set to get underway in the coming weeksWorkouts for BASEBALL pitchers and catchers will begin on Monday March 17th at 3:30 in the gym.  All other spring sports will start on Monday March 24th.  Anyone interested in playing a spring sport must have an up-to-date physical on file with the school nurse, as well as the appropriate concussion education release form on file with the athletic department.  A signed permission form for each season must also in on file with the coach.
