ART
DEPARTMENT NEWS:
The Chaffee Art Center is pleased to announce the
opening of our ANNUAL STUDENT ART EXHIBIT – which features the talents
of area students from both private and public schools – as well as homeschooled
children who are in grades K-12. This
exhibit will be compiled of a wide range of medias including but not limited to
photography, ceramics, paintings, collages, and mixed media. The sheer creativity and innovation that our
youth uses in their art creation have made this exhibition a community
highlight.
The exhibit will be open
from FRIDAY 3/28 to FRIDAY 5/2 at the Chaffee Art Center – 16 S.
Main Street – Rutland.
The gallery is open THURSDAY
& FRIDAY, Noon – 6 p.m. and SATURDAYS, Noon – 5 p.m..
Edible treats and refreshments will be served. TY to Stewart’s Shops and the Rutland Herald
for the sponsorship of this exhibition.

The Center For Cartoon Studies in White River
Junction is offering a $900 Scholarship for their one week workshop “Create
Comics” this July 7 – 11.

group. They will meet weekly for 10 weeks during the school day. There
