The schedule will consist of 4 days per week – NO TUESDAY
(When 2 teachers are assigned duty – both are required to be in attendance – TY)

NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:
1) Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account.
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line. Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

PSAT RESULTS: To all JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES who took the PSAT: Students will be given passes identifying the date and period they will report to the computer lab to receive the results. Guidance will go to Stafford to distribute the results to students who attend there.

MID YEAR EXAMINATION SCHEDULE – January 2014
These will be here before you know it!
Mid-year exams will be held on January 14, 15, 16 and 17. Make-up exams will be held on Tuesday, January 21. The exam schedule will be as follows:
Tuesday, January 14 Exams
for periods 1 and 2
Wednesday, January 15 Exams for periods 7 and 8
Thursday, January 16 Exams
for periods 5 and 6
Friday, January 17 Exams for periods 3 and 4
Tuesday, January 21 Make-up exams
The daily schedule is as follows:
8:45 – 10:15 First examination
of the day
10:30 – 12:00 Second examination
of the day
Buses will be here to pick up students at 12:00 noon.
· Breakfast will be available.
· There will be no lunches served.
· Senior exam exemptions for semester courses will be for students with averages of 90 or above.
IN THE EVENT THAT SCHOOL IS CANCELLED ON ANY EXAMINATION DAY, THE EXAM MISSED WILL BE GIVEN ON THE NEXT DAY, AND THE SCHEDULE WILL BE MOVED FORWARD ONE DAY.
THE STAFFORD TECH CENTER BUS WILL RUN AS REGULARLY SCHEDULED.

2014 Mid-year Examination Rules
1. Students who do not have examinations are not required to be in the building. However, if they are in the building they must stay in the library.
2. A student who is late to an exam will be required to make up the exam on January 21, 2014.
3. Makeup examinations will not be given unless the student has a valid excuse. Any students who are not able to be here to take exams must have a parent or guardian call school to explain the reason for the absence and only extremely serious reasons for absence will be accepted. Teachers will send copies of examinations for all absent students to the office. If a student has a legitimate reason for being absent, the office will contact the teacher and make arrangements for the students to take the exam.
4. Make-up examinations may be given during another exam time if a student has a scheduled study hall.
5. Any student suspected of cheating on an exam will have his/her paper taken, be sent directly to the office, and may receive a zero.
Students who miss examinations intentionally will not receive credit for that course. In order to receive credit for a course, the examination must be taken unless otherwise waived by the instructor or an administrator.

The Piano / Guitar Recital will be held on TUESDAY evening – January 7, 2014 at
6 p.m. in the Band Room.

This should be a major fundraiser for our group! We’re hoping ALL SENIOR’s families will prepare a basket for this fundraiser. Donated baskets can be turned into the Office. We need them dropped off by Monday – January 6.

ARSU STEP UP CHALLENGE – 1/2/2014 to 1/29/2014:

This is our 2nd year of the Step Up Challenge! Each building will track their steps for 4 weeks in JANUARY!
The total steps will be divided by the number of employees working in the building(s) – so it is important that everyone participate. You can sign up with your building’s wellness leader (FHU is Deborah Hanson firstname.lastname@example.org) and receive a tracking form. Your weekly steps should be turned in on Friday each week to your wellness leader.
The building with the most average steps will win!
The winning BUILDING will receive $150 to purchase wellness materials. This year we will also have individual prizes!
