2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

ART DEPARTMENT NEWS: 
Congratulations to the final Top 10 Standings on placing in our Weekly Sketch contestEach week these students have consistently showcased their talent, accumulating points throughout the semester:
1st Ella Patterson / 2nd Olivia Cacciatore / 3rd Hilary Dubois / 4th Kelsi Bean / 5th Tiana Sanchez / 6th Emily Hughes / 7th Ellena Boelke / 8th Maria Ieremias / 9th Sophia Rampone / 10th Mallory Hooker & Rachael Butrimas 
ALSO – there is STUDENT ARTWORK on display at the ARSU Central Office!  Work will be up for the remainder of the month – so if you happen to pass by please take a moment to check it out.  There are some beautiful portraits from the drawing classes, as well as work from the Independent Study students. 

BALFOUR REPRESENTATIVE:
The Balfour representative will be here on FRIDAY – January 24 during lunch – in the Lobby (not WED 1/22), for ring and graduation announcement orders.   

CHORUS:
KEYNOTES will begin Semester Two MUSIC after EXAMS and will be offered on TUESDAY and/or THURSDAY mornings in the CHORUS ROOM – 8: a.m. – 8:20 a.m..  We will begin TUESDAY 1/28.  TY 

CHORUS STUDENTS – Please submit your Semester worksheets to the Chorus Room this week.  Additional copies are available.  SEMESTER TWO classes will begin on WEDNESDAY – 1/29. 

CLUB NEWS: 
ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school.    
COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Meet WED & FRIDAY mornings at 8 a.m. – in Ms. Gallagher or Mrs. Nicholson room. 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.   
POETRY OUT LOUD:  Meets Monday after school in Mrs. Hadeka’s room (120).   All are welcome!
SCHOLARS BOWL:   Meet after school in Mrs. Cornell’s room. 

EXAMS – MID YEAR:
Get Your Rest - Do Your Best!
It’s that time again!  EXAMS will start on THURSDAY 1/16 PD 1 & 2, and continue on Friday 1/17 PD 7 & 8, Tuesday 1/21 PD 5 & 6, Wednesday 1/22 PD 3 & 4, Thursday 1/23 MAKE-UP. 
DAILY SCHEDULE: 8:45 – 10:15 p.m. EXAM 1 / 10:30 a.m. – 12 Noon EXAM 2

Buses will pick students up at 12 Noon.  BREAKFAST will be available – LUNCH WILL NOT BE SERVED.
LATE BUS leaves FHU @ 3 p.m.
STAFFORD TECH Center bus will run as Regularly Scheduled.  Stafford Students will have a FULL DAY at Stafford.

FREE PERTUSSIS (Whooping Cough) VACCINES – For all Adults (19 & older) – Coming Wednesday – 1/22 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the RAVNAH Boardroom – 7 Albert Cree Drive – Rutland, VT.  Questions – contact Amy Pfenning (apfenning@rrms.org) or 802-747-3893.  Especiallly important for those who will be in close contact with newborns & young children.  

SENIOR VISION SCREENINGS: We will be starting the Senior vision screenings on FRIDAY - 1/24.  We will try to call them from study halls, but being Seniors they tend to have Senior Privileges - so - please be patient if we have to call your classrooms!  When the Seniors are complete we will be doing the Freshmen - mostly during Freshmen Labs.  TY

PROJECT GRADUATION NEWS:
BASKET RAFFLE FUNDRAISER This event was a HUGE success!!  THANK YOU to all who helped make this event such a great success! 
Next Project Graduation meeting will be TUESDAY – 1/21 @ 7 p.m. in Mr. Pariseau’s Room.  Mark your calendar!

STAFFORD TECHNICAL CENTER - ROAD SHOW:

Stafford Technical Center (STC) will be coming to FHU on Friday - 1/24!  The show will begin at 10:15 a.m. and run approximately 1 period.  It will be held in the Band Room.  ALL SOPHOMORES will attend!

VSAC REPRESENTATIVE:
Tia will be visiting FHU on FRIDAY – 1/24 (afternoon only) and MONDAY – 1/27 and WEDNESDAY – 1/29 (morning).  She will meet with students in the Library.  See you then!
