The schedule will consist of 4 days per week – NO TUESDAY
(When 2 teachers are assigned duty – both are required to be in attendance – TY)

 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

AFTER SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICES & HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM: 

The LIBRARY will be CLOSED Tuesday afternoon (11/5) due to a Faculty Meeting. 
Open Wednesday for our usual hours – 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. 

ANTI-BULLYING MEETING:
A group of Seniors – with the help of Officer Prouty – have stepped up to lead the school in an anti-bullying movement. 
There will be a meeting on TUESDAY – 11/5 at 7:45 a.m. – where Seniors can sign up to be involved in this group.  More information to follow!    

BABYSITTING POSITION:
WANTED ASAP!!!!  Student needed for babysitting position after school in Fair Haven.  If you drive – a plus!  See Mrs. Ransom for details. 
BOYS’ SOCCER BANQUET: 
The BOYS’ SOCCER banquet will be WEDNESDAY – 11/6 at 6:30 p.m.. 

CHEERLEADING: 
Anyone interested in Basketball, JV or Varsity Cheerleading – please sign up on the information sheet in back of Mrs. Ransom’s classroom. 

CHEERLEADING – The SPARKLE EFFECT
Fair Haven Union High School is starting a new inclusive cheer team that includes students with disabilities. 
This team will cheer with Cheerleaders at home basketball games! 
Our first meeting will be on MONDAY – November 4 @ 3:15 p.m. in Room 104.  For more information contact Colleen Pouliot at cjpouliot529@yahoo.com, or visit Mrs. Ransom for an informational packet. 

CLASS OF 2014 – TURKEY TROT FUNDRAISER:
SATURDAY – 11/23 – 10 a.m. – FHUHS!  Registrations may be picked up in the FHU Office – or downloaded from this site.  https://sites.google.com/site/fhuhs5kturkeytrot/home   You can also pick up a registration in the Office, or see Mr. Worthing!  A can drive will also be part of the fundraiser!  All canned goods collected will be donated to Fair Haven Concerned.  Proceeds to benefit FH Concerned, and the FHUHS Senior Class.   

CLUB NEWS: 
ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school. 
CADETS:  Meet 1st, 3rd, 4th WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.  See Officer Prouty for information. 
COMMUNITY SERVICE:  We will have a SHORT meeting at 8 a.m. – FRIDAY 10/11 in Mrs. Nicholson’s Room (206). 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room

POETRY OUT LOUD:  Meets Monday after school in Mrs. Hadeka’s room (120).   All are welcome!

FYI: Tyler Rice was nominated for the September Male Athlete of the Month by the Vermont Sportswriters & Sportscasters Association – a state wide nomination!
Although he was not selected as the winner – this was an honor!  Congratulations Tyler, you’re always a winner with FHUHS!

VSAC /PAYING FOR COLLEGE Presentation
Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC), in collaboration with FHUHS, has scheduled a PAYING FOR COLLEGE presentation here at FHU on Tuesday – November 5 @ 6 p.m..
This presentation, which normally runs about 1 ½ to 2 hours, provides students and their parents / guardians with information on financial aid and other resources available to pay for college.  Time is allotted for questions.
Among the topics covered are types of financial aid, ways to apply, how family contribution is calculated, how financial aid is awarded, student and parent / guardian loans, and alternative payment options.
