HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM DUTY 9/30, - , 10/2, 10/3, 10/4:  (3:10 – 5:30 p.m.)

The schedule will consist of 4 days per week – NO TUESDAY
(When 2 teachers are assigned duty – both are required to be in attendance – TY)

BREAKFAST / LUNCH:   REMEMBER to Deposit Money in your BREAKFAST / LUNCH Account – TY  
 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

Friday – 10/4: Goodbye Summer:  Pulled Pork on a Bun, Baked Beans, Broccoli Salad, Fresh Fruit 
Monday – 10/7:  Meatless Monday!  Grilled Cheese Varieties, Tomato Soup, Garden Salad, Fresh Fruit   
Students in the Family & Consumer Science Department are doing their part to help fight hunger in VT!  On Tuesday – 10/8 during PD 5 they will be sponsoring a BAKE SALE in the Lobby!  We thank the SHAW’S store for their $25 donation to help with the purchase of baking materials.    
Also check out the display area in the Lobby to see the beautiful bags they have crafted by recycling bird & animal feed containers!  Amazing – and can be purchased for $5 each beginning 10/8!

ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school. 
CADETS:  Meet 1st, 3rd, 4th WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.  See Officer Prouty for information. 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.  See Officer Prouty for information. 
POETRY OUT LOUD:  Meets Monday after school in Mrs. Hadeka’s room (120).   All are welcome!
SCHOLARS BOWL:  Meet after school in Mrs. Cornell’s Room.  Please join us!

NECAP – Fall Testing:  Next week - ALL 11th Graders:  Tuesday 10/8 – Wednesday 10/9 – Thursday 10/10  from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. 

PSAT:  The PSAT is a standardized test that provides practice for the SAT college entrance exam. 
It is also sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.  It will be given on WEDNESDAY – 10/16 to ALL JUNIORS at no costSophomores may elect to take the exam for a fee of $14due by Friday- October 11. 
There is a limited number of tests available to Sophomores – so please sign up as soon as possible.  TY

Congratulations to Coach BRIAN GRADY – he has been selected as a State finalist for USA TODAY’s Best High School Football Coach Contest!  The contest opens on Monday – September 30Ends 10/8 for this section. 
USA Staffers have chosen 8 active head football coaches in each State – after more than a month of conversations with local media and other State/school officials with high school football expertise.  FROM THERE – the FANS will decide which coach emerges from a list of 408!

Mr. Coley will be collecting money for a Vermont Charity - the VERMONT FOOD BANK.  Their programs feed VT through a network of 270 Food Shelves, meal sites, senior centers, shelters, and after-school programs.
The VT Food Bank runs programs that help feed as many as 86,000 Vermonters who need assistance!  
Please donate to this VT only charity this year - and look for the table Wednesday 10/9 to Friday 10/11 - near the Custodial entrance door.  TY
