The schedule will consist of 4 days per week – NO TUESDAY
(When 2 teachers are assigned duty – both are required to be in attendance – TY)

BREAKFAST / LUNCH:   REMEMBER to Deposit Money in your BREAKFAST / LUNCH Account – TY  
 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

BAND BOOSTERS:
The Band Boosters will be meeting on WEDNESDAY – 9/25 at 6 p.m. – in the Band Room.

AFTER SCHOOL LIBRARY SERVICES & HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM:
The LIBRARY will be CLOSED WEDNESDAY (9/25) afternoon – Due to EARLY RELEASE @ 11:30 a.m.
We will be open Thursday for our usual hours – 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..

BALFOUR REPRESENTATIVE: 
The Balfour representative will be here again on TUESDAY – 10/1 – BEFORE SCHOOL only – to order Class Rings!  Must have $50 deposit at time of order!  FREE HOODIE with order!   

CHORUS: 
AUDITION Rehearsals for Districts and State meet Tuesday and Thursday morning at 8 a.m. 
WEDNESDAY CHORUS Classes meet today – all periods EXCEPT 5. 

CLUB NEWS: 
ART CLUB:  Will begin meeting every  WEDNESDAY after school. 
CADETS:  Meet 1st, 3rd, 4th WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.  See Officer Prouty for information. 
DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room
OVX:  Meet 2nd WEDNESDAYS @ 7:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.  See Officer Prouty for information. 
POETRY OUT LOUD:  Meets Monday after school in Mrs. Hadeka’s room (120).   All are welcome!
SCHOLARS BOWL:  Opening Tournament (Sue Pasco) is being held @ Essex HS on Saturday – 9/28

ASVAB:  The ASVAB testing will be held on FRIDAY – 10/25 in Mrs. LaPlaca’s classroom.  See Mrs. Anderson in the Guidance Office to sign up.  TY

Tuesday – 10/1:  10 a.m. – Lyndon State College
Tuesday – 10/1:  11 a.m. – University of Vermont 
Thursday – 10/3:  1 p.m. – Southern New Hampshire University 
Friday – 10/4: 9 a.m. – Alfred University / 1 p.m. – Keene State College 

INTRODUCTION TO COLLEGE STUDIES:  CCV is still offering Introduction to College Studies (ICS), CCV has pushed the deadline for sign up to Wednesday - September 25 to allow for more students to sign up. 
If there is enough interest CCV will also offer a later class to accommodate students participating in extracurricular activities.  This is a dual enrollment class, if they pass ICS the student can enroll in another college class at CCV for FREE.

PSAT:  The PSAT is a standardized test that provides practice for the SAT college entrance exam. 
It is also sponsored by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.  It will be given on WEDNESDAY – 10/16 to ALL JUNIORS at no cost
Sophomores may elect to take the exam for a fee of $14due by Friday- October 11. 

There is a limited number of tests available to Sophomores – so please sign up as soon as possible.  TY

LEE NATIONAL DENIM DAY: 
Will be held on Friday – 10/4 this year.  Please join by making a donation & wearing your favorite jeans.  Donations can be given to Lisa Birchmore – or placed in her mailbox.  Also-if you would like to donate in memory-or in honor of-a loved one, please fill out the form that was placed in your mailbox and return to Mrs. Birchmore.  TY for your support. 

LATE BUS INFO / TODAY – WEDNESDAY:  Today is EARLY DISMISSAL (11:30 a.m.)!  There will be 2 Late Bus Runs.  One at 3 p.m. – when Stafford students return, and One at the Regular 5:35 p.m. time.

SCHOLARS BOWL – FRESHMEN REQUEST:
FRESHMEN – WE NEED YOU to join the Scholars Bowl Team!!!  Our practices are after school from 3 – 4 p.m. – or later some times.  COME and CHECK US OUT!  Come for the fun!  Practice is in Mrs. Cornell’s Room (next to the Library).  Hope to see you soon!  Coach Allen

You are invited to the 4th Annual Slater Community Bonfire – to be held on WEDNESDAY – 9/25 @ 7 p.m.  at the Fair Haven Air Park!  Join all of SLATER NATION as we celebrate SLATERBRATION 2013!
