HOMEWORK SUCCESS PROGRAM DUTY 9/16, - , 18, 19, 20:  (3:10 – 5:30 p.m.)

The schedule will consist of 4 days per week – NO TUESDAY
(When 2 teachers are assigned duty – both are required to be in attendance – TY)

BREAKFAST / LUNCH:   REMEMBER to Deposit Money in your BREAKFAST / LUNCH Account – TY  
 NOTE: Parents / Guardians will have 2 methods to fund their student’s account:    
1)  Go to: www.MySchoolBucks.com – You may set up an online account  using a Credit / Debit card to make deposits into your student’s account. 
2)You may send a check with your student made payable to the Fair Haven School Lunch Program.   
Please include the student’s name in the Memo line.  Cash will also be accepted, however this does slow the lines.

APPLEFEST 2013:  
To be held on Saturday – 9/21 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the Fair Haven Park. (Raindate is 9/28). 
All proceeds will benefit FH Grade School Extra Curricular Activities for students in Grade EEE – 8.

DIY SCIENCE CLUB:  Specializing in the Amazing World of Scientific Exploration!  THURSDAYS - 3 p.m. in Mr. Worthing’s Room

POETRY OUT LOUD:  A national poetry recitation contest sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, will meet in Mrs. Hadeka’s room (120) – STARTING MONDAY – 9/23!  All are welcome!
SCHOLARS BOWL:  Opening Tournament (Sue Pasco) is being held @ Essex HS on Saturday – 9/28.  We will be

INTRODUCTION TO COLLEGE STUDIES:  CCV is still offering Introduction to College Studies (ICS), CCV has pushed the deadline for sign up ONE WEEK – to September 25 to allow for more students to sign up. 
If there is enough interest CCV will also offer a later class to accommodate students participating in extracurricular activities.  This is a dual enrollment class, if they pass ICS the student can enroll in another college class at CCV for FREE.
Other advantages of this program are free textbooks, a free dining hall coupon, and scholarship – thanks to Vermont Community Foundation, CCV, and Castleton State College.

LEE NATIONAL DENIM DAY: 
Will be held on Friday – 10/4 this year.  Please join by making a donation & wearing your favorite jeans.  Donations can be given to Lisa Birchmore – or placed in her mailbox.  Also-if you would like to donate in memory-or in honor of-a loved one, please fill out the form that was placed in your mailbox and return to Mrs. Birchmore.  TY for your support.

SCHOLARS BOWL – FRESHMEN REQUEST:
FRESHMEN – WE NEED YOU to join the Scholars Bowl Team!!!  Our practices are after school from 3 – 4 p.m. – or later some times.  COME and CHECK US OUT!  Come for the fun!  Practice is in Mrs. Cornell’s Room (next to the Library).  Hope to see you soon!  Coach Allen
